My Story

I was born and raised in the mountains of Boone, North Carolina. As a child, I rarely appreciated the panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from my family’s living room window. Now, as an adult, I’ve come to cherish those breathtaking vistas and I’m grateful that our home today is nestled within the same mountain ridge, just a few hours north. Our family lives in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, where my husband, Reed, is an avid angler, and we enjoy life with our two amazing daughters, River and Haven.

In my twenties, I earned a Master of Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since then, I’ve had the joy of serving in six different churches—as a youth director, Christian education assistant, seminary intern, mission director, associate pastor, and now, senior pastor. Since 2015, I’ve served as the pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro, Virginia.

Mission is a key component of my faith—whether in the sanctuary or the neighborhood. Daily, I strive to serve God and love neighbor well.

Joy is found with mountains in the background and mission in the heart.
